Description
During a session you may encounter connection issues in the Virtual Classroom, you may at times face various issues. These include interruptions in other participants’ audio and video feed or delays in seeing updates on the whiteboard. Disconnections can also occur. The most common cause are issues with your internet connection. This may include a low download or upload speed, or sudden drops in your connection speed (interrupting internet connection).
In case you experience interruptions in your internet connection or your internet connection speed is low and you are using a Wi-Fi connection, we suggest switching to a cable connection instead of Wi-Fi when possible.
The reason for this is that the cable internet connection is more stable than the Wi-Fi connection, because of fewer fluctuations between maximum and minimum speed.
- In case you are using a Wi-Fi connection, move as close to the router as possible. This will help your device receive a stronger and more stable Wi-Fi signal.
- If there are multiple devices (laptops, tablets, phones, etc.) connected to the same network, it is best to disconnect them from the network, since all devices connected to the same network share the network’s connection resources (bandwidth), thus making the connection slower for all connected devices
In case that does not help:
- Please close all other browsers or tabs in the current browser or other running applications which use an internet connection – chat applications, download/torrent software, or other software solutions that may lower your internet connection speed.
